All 5 members of Star Trek: The Next Generation's ill-fated Nova Squadron appear in Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4's finale. In "Old Friends, New Planets," Lieutenant Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome) has to save the galaxy from Nicholas Locarno (Robert Duncan McNeill), the disgraced ex-Cadet Beckett once knew when they attended Starfleet Academy together. Lower Decks season 4's finale actually kicks off with a flashback to Starfleet Academy 13 years earlier, showing the young Mariner with all of Locarno's elite group of Cadets, Nova Squadron.
On Twitter/X, Jörg Hillebrand (@gaghyogi49), who was a researcher for Star Trek: Picard season 3, pointed out that the fifth member of Nova Squadron, Jean Hajar, does appear in Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4's finale. Although, Hajar isn't in the scene when Mariner runs up to her friend, Ensign Sito Jaxa (Shannon Fill), the entire Nova Squadron is accounted for in the season 4 ender. Check out his post below:
Cadet Jean Hajar was played by Walker Brandt in Star Trek: The Next Generation season 5, episode 19, "The First Duty," when Nova Squadron debuts. However, Hajar's very brief moment didn't require Brandt to reprise her role as Shannon Fill did for Sito Jaxa.
