Summary
- If Star Trek: Legacy is commissioned, fans can expect to see upgrades to the USS Enterprise-G, including a proper bar for the crew to unwind together after a shift.
- The USS Enterprise-G needs starfleet carpets to provide a more forgiving and comfortable surface in case of crises or crew members passing out.
- The lighting on the USS Enterprise-G should be brighter and homelier than on the USS Titan-A, creating a more welcoming and comfortable environment for the crew.
Introduced in Star Trek: Picard season 3, the USS Enterprise-G should receive some much-needed upgrades for Terry Matalas' as yet unconfirmed Star Trek: Legacy. Pitched as a show that will continue the story of Picard season 3 by focusing on the last generation and the next, Legacy is yet to be commissioned by Paramount. The fan desire to see the show has been noted by Alex Kurtzman, but nothing is confirmed and Star Trek: Legacy is not yet in development.
However, Star Trek: Picard production designer Dave Blass shared thoughts on how the Enterprise would change if Star Trek: Legacy happens. Because Picard seasons 2 and 3 were shot back to back, the USS Enterprise-G was essentially a redressed version of the USS Stargazer from season 2. If Star Trek: Legacy is greenlit and Dave Blass is hired to work on the show, then there will be more work done to differentiate the Enterprise-G bridge set from that of the Stargazer. This means that if Legacy goes to series, fans can expect to see multiple upgrades to the Enterprise as part of the USS Titan-A's refit at the end of Picard season 3.
