As Picard comes to an end, fans are eager to find out what's next for Star Trek's 25th-century characters. As well as reuniting the entire Star Trek: The Next Generation cast, Picard season 3 has also introduced a host of new characters that many viewers want more from, and showrunner Terry Matalas has made it clear that he has plans for further adventures, if he were to get the green light.
It's not just Star Trek fans that are eager for Matalas' Star Trek: Legacy to become a reality, as many of the production staff and cast have been overwhelmingly positive about their experiences working with the showrunner on Star Trek: Picard season 3. In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Jeri Ryan gave her own thoughts about being involved in the proposed series. Read her quote below:
I mean, I always hedge on this because there's a lot more to [it than] saying, "Oh yes, I'm into something" than the reality of shooting a television series and being a working mother. There's a lot more involved than just saying, "Oh my god! I'm in!" Story-wise, absolutely. Would I love to continue working with these people and this character? Absolutely! 100% We could not be in better hands with Terry and this writing staff. They were phenomenal, and playing with these actors is just amazing, and this character is just a gift. So yes, in general, I'd love to continue, but you know, there's a lot more that has to go into that to make that a reality.
