Since her introduction in Star Trek: Voyager season 4, Seven of Nine has become one of Star Trek's most beloved and important characters. Born with the name Annika Hansen, Seven was assimilated by the Borg as a child before being rescued 24 years later by the USS Voyager. Not only did she offer more insight into the nature of the Borg, but she also went on a beautiful journey to rediscover her own humanity.
Over the course of Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4, a powerful weapon controlled by disgraced former Starfleet cadet Nick Locarno (Robert Duncan McNeill) has been attacking non-Federation ships throughout the galaxy. In Lower Decks season 4, episode 9, "The Inner Fight," Captain Carol Freeman (Dawnn Lewis) of the USS Cerritos reveals that Locarno has been targeting former Starfleet officers. Seven of Nine's name comes up on a list of four ex-Starfleet officers who remain unaccounted for and need to be escorted back to Earth.
